fourth quest [accidental video]

[Hello, Forge. Up to mischief again? At least it's of a new variety this time, or rather, an old one: it's broadcasting without Annabeth seeming to realize it.]

[She's standing in a practice yard somewhere and holding a hand-made bow, a little rough-looking, but basically functional. She pulls on the string a few times and draws it back, then lets it down again, testing. She picks up an arrow from where a few have been stuck in the ground and stands straight, drawing it back with impeccable form. She takes a few breaths, bright eyes focused on her target, then looses.]

[And it's a good thing she's not a squeal-and-flail type. She just jumps as the arrow flies away from her, suddenly on fire. She looks around the yard, eyes wide and looking completely nonplussed. Did she just hallucinate that?]

[ooc: Annabeth is discovering her Mist power! this was not a hallucination and anyone watching definitely saw the fire ;)]

[...she will assume he's trying to pantomime fire.] That's what I saw too. I've never had an arrow do that that someone else hadn't designed that way.

Not here. Sometimes I've had access to arrows designed with effects like that, but I didn't do that with these.

Maybe it was the mist or some form of magic. Weird stuff happens all the time here.

[Welp, in that brief span of time, Reborn appears to have uprooted himself and walked on over; there's a little green chameleon nestled sleepily in the foliage.

He bows, gallantly - well as gallantly as he can, considering he's wearing a tree.] A pleasure to meet you, Miss...?

[Okay, this is not really that much weirder than a satyr. It's fine.] The arrow wasn't supposed to do that.

Do you not have powers in your own world?

Nothing like that. Most of what I have that could be termed powers are pretty simple -- I'm faster and stronger than a human, with better reflexes, and I can read Ancient Greek without trying. That kind of thing.
