[Hermione's Forge is being mischievous. Or maybe it's being helpful. Or maybe it only thinks it's being helpful. Truly, the verdict is out.

She is laying on her bed, on top of the covers, with her hands tucked neatly under her cheek. Her wand is laying beside her - within easy reach just in case. It will be some time before she sleeps without some protection close at hand.

Perhaps never. Mad-Eye Moody would certainly approve.]

...go with you... [She is muttering to herself and twitching, her expression shifting to a slight frown.] ...don't have to...be alone.

We're...in this...together. [The words trail off and it looks like she might be sleeping peacefully - if only for a short while.

However, a moment later, that peace ends.]

Watch out! [Hermione sits up and grabs her wand, pointing it at the darkness. The tip glows to life and bathes her in the light of Lumos. Sleepily, she blinks away her foggy vision and tries to regulate her breathing.

It was a dream. A dream.]

Nngh. [Pushing herself off of the bed, she paces towards the window and pulls back the curtains. Resting her forehead against the glass, the Witch lets out a shaky sigh.]

It already happened. It's over. [She is clearly trying to convince herself. Unfortunately, logic doesn't always chase away nightmares.]

Daydream, huh?

[It tends to happen more often the Forge showed this sort of thing later in the month but at least this time he was not shown any specifics of what she might have been dreaming about.]

[It's harder for her to sleep at night. Something about the darkness makes her extremely nervous. She usually spends her nights re-reading her various books, making potions, reacquainting herself with spells and writing notes about Anatole.

Therefore, during the day, she will often take naps. They don't always go well. Obviously.]

More like a nightmare. [She glances at her Forge and sighs tiredly.] I didn't know I was being recorded.

Hrm. Well, I guess it could have been worse. You could have had it when the Forge things broadcast them to everyone.

[Though he's sure by now Hermione realizes it can do that, unless she happened to miss the Forge's last incidents of it.]

Sadly, I don't think many residents would be shocked. [She smoothes her hand over her hair before stretching her arms over her head.

Probably not. We're fairly used to the mist causing things to be crazy around here, the forges are the least of our worries for the most part.

I'm okay. Glad Winry's here. She got here just in time too, after those monsters. One of them took a bite at my arm, but she managed to fix it for me. Keep myself busy though. Researching and helping at the clinic and with Search and Rescue and all. I'm still up for learning about those Runes too, sometime.

He hasn't been here very long. [And while yes, he does hold her and reassure her when she wakes up, she has a lot more of them with him around, and the reminder of her lost son in her face every day.]

I'm afraid that means little to me, having just arrived.

But in my experience, finding something relatively exhausting to do prior helps somewhat.

[There's no response - but the next morning (following his own broadcast and possibly as thanks that she had the good grace not to respond), a package containing a few bottles of Dreamless Sleep Potion arrives at Hermione's door.

No instructions are included. This might be taken as acknowledgement that she doesn't need them; in other words, a compliment.]

[The package is more than welcome and you can bet the potions will be put to use the moment the sun sets. Hermione has a lot of sleep to catch up on. Beyond that, however, as thanks, he won't be seeing her talking about his private life. She is even going to have tea with Lily to hopefully give them both some space.

Though, she does like spending time with Lily, so she kind of benefits from that too.]

[Jessamine has to say that she's surprised when she sees that the girl is using magic. It has to be - that's the only explanation for a wand - but she can't see any other visible form of a warlock's mark on her. She tenses slightly because even the word 'magic' puts on her edge but after a moment, she tells herself that she doesn't look like a warlock so she has to be okay.

And besides, she looks clearly distressed.]

Miss? I know asking if you're alright seems a bit silly, but regardless...

[The kindness of others never ceases to amaze her. This is just another sign that the Muggle World and the Magical World could, someday, mix. Yet, now is not the time to contemplate such things.

Smiling tiredly, Hermione shakes her head slowly.]

It's not silly and I appreciate it. I'll be alright.

I only thought to ask if you were alright. You looked troubled.

[ a pause.. ] A nightmare?

Mm...yes. I've been having them frequently. [Which is entirely unhelpful considering she needs sleep.] I don't mean to complain. I'm sure others have it much worse.
